We are a certified member of Social Enterprise UK. Watipa is a company limited by shares, to remain true to the ethos of community participation in decision making. It is intended that members, representatives of beneficiaries and scholarship recipients will be shareholders in the social enterprise and share responsibility for governing how we work.
We minimize our carbon footprint and keep our overheads low by working remotely, travelling by car or plane only when essential, and printing only when necessary. Our business cards and stationary are printed on recycled paper.
Ten per cent of all of our profits will be invested into the scholarship, exchange and internship fund.
