By facilitating mentorship connections, events and opportunities that support young people to create positive change in their communities and providing scholarships and living expense stipends for disadvantaged young people to attend university.

Our Scholarship Programs
At Watipa, we believe that education has the power to transform lives and communities. Since 2016, our scholarship program has enabled more than 60 young people across sub-Saharan Africa learn how to become the leaders of the change they want to see in their cities, towns and villages.
Our scholarship program is funded through our consultancy services and generous donations. It covers the tuition costs and, in exceptional circumstances, the living expenses of our scholars.

We are an ethical company and aspire to be the change we want to see in the world, and to ‘walk the talk’ of ethical and community-driven approaches to community development.
Community co-designed Projects
Watipa collaborates with communities on the design and implementation of projects, ensuring that diverse voices and experiences are heard throughout all steps of the process.
Professional development
Social Impact Leadership Academy Watipa is currently developing a Social Impact Leadership Academy – a collaboration between partners in Australia, Malawi and Zambia to share best ideas and learning from local, national and international development practices to support young leaders. Impact Report
