Kampala, Uganda. Meet Kyendikuwa Francis, a young man aged 24 who received a Watipa scholarship in 2016 to support his studies in hotel and institutional catering.
Receiving a scholarship means a lot to me. I have always prayed hard to receive this scholarship opportunity and this will greatly facilitate me with financial aid during my academic session.
A lot of people think that there is no help outside there but this shows that there is help and I will always thank Watipa for this new day they have made in my life.
After completing my course, I have a dream to become a professional caterer and hotel manager and also establishing a Catering and Hotel educational institution that will train the youths and other willing learners to acquire practical knowledge in catering and managerial work in order to get self employed hence reducing poverty within my community members.
Finally, I am extremely happy because this is incredible to be one of the selected candidates and now I am part of the family. I promise to be a family member who is hardworking, time conscious, trustworthy and able to abide by the rules and regulations governing the family for fulfillment of the family vision, mission, goals, objectives among others.
